Opening Reception Saturday April 16 from 7-9 pm

Possible Projects is excited to announce Cold Open with work by Mike Bray, Cari Freno and Clinton King. This is the inaugural exhibition at our new Philadelphia location.

Cold Open refers to a technique used in television and film, where the opening sequence starts in the middle of a plot.  The work in this exhibition is presented likewise, In Media Res, with no indication of a beginning or end. Yet contrary to television and film, their work leaves us with no setup or evident closure.

Mike Bray is the Co-Founder of Ditch Projects, an artist-run studio, installation and performance space located in downtown Springfield, Oregon. He has exhibited at Soil Gallery, Seattle; Crawl Space, Seattle; The Art Gym at Marylhurst University; and Portland State University. Bray currently lives in Eugene, Oregon, where he is represented by Fourteen30 Contemporary.

Cari Freno received an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. Most recently she held a two-person exhibition at Redux Contemporary Arts Center in Charleston, SC. Her work has been shown in Berlin, Montreal, and Philadelphia, PA. Freno lives and works in Philadelphia, PA.

Clinton King received an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has exhibited recently at Spaces Gallery in Cleveland, OH.
